The walk comprised the NW part of the moor including Brown Willy from the south.
Start was from Candra (farm) Grid reference - SX 119 779. There is ample parking on the grass at the side of the lane.

It uses some little used parts of the moor that has many ancient sites and climbs 5 hill tops. It visits Brown Willy but by the south ridge 'back door', missing out busy Rough Tor. It is almost entirely on open access land (possibly odd boggy spot in wet conditions but avoids these as much as possible though we had no issues in very dry conditions) with 2 short permissive path links. It passes no buildings other than start point. We walked nude for all but first and last few yards and met no other people. Though we did see a few in the distance.

We had warm sunny cloudless weather with a light breeze. Visibility was excellent and we could see the sea on both sides of Cornwall.

Walk is approx 9 miles/ 14.3 km, 440m ascent. (biggest 160m of Brown Willy by south ridge)

Route is W to King Arthur's Hall, Garrow Tor (ancient settlement), Butter's Tor (nice ruin at bottom), Brown Willy (interesting ridge with large cairn), large Stone Circle south of Rough Tor, Logan (rocking) Rock, large Stone Circle on south edge of china works land, Alex Tor (very substantial multiple burial chamber structure), and back to the cars.

We crossed a few crystal clear streams (on bridges) and there were numerous smaller examples of ancient structures as well as the main ones mentioned.

It would also be possible to start from another moorland lane near Alex Tor.

All told a brilliant walk with a great group including the star rambler Ziggy the dog who was not quite as energetic at the end as she had been at the start but we all finished OK.

Went on another walk on Bodmin today.

Not quite as good as Monday but still good.

Weather was plenty warm enough but a bit grey for the first half which included about 1 min of a light shower. (first rain this holiday) Visibility reduced to about 15 miles.

I set off from a turning off the A30 just east of Jamaica Inn. (Webbs Down, GR 199 783)
Walked up 4 tops - Leskernick Hill (stone circles and stone row have gone AWOL?), Buttern Hill (burial chamber in excellent condition with lid proped open), Bray Down (trig pt and good cairn), The Beacon (2 nice rock outcrops each side of hill).
Not quite as interesting as other walk but nude in acres and acrea of open space. 2 mile radius of open space around you the whole way. Very quiet saw one or two people in the distance and had to put shorts on at start and when passing close to a single hiker passing close by.

Saw the 'beasts' of Bodmin again! (forgot to mention that last time) They are VERY large wild dogs I think. Saw 2 today, 3 on Monday. Each time together and about 400m away. They run swiftly accross the moor. (about 15 mph!)
2 white 1 black.

Worst bit today was b awkward farmer near start of walk. He has removed all trace of public footpath and obviously does not understand or respect open access. He was kind enough to let me use a field with a bull in it though. Also when I finally reached the open access part this also had a juvenile bull in it for company for half a mile. All gates in his end of the moor were tied up even though they were on paths accross the moor. This was a hassle rather than a show stopper.
